Metromode just wrote a nice article on the bike commuting atmosphere in Metro Detroit.

The article highlights a lot of the positive aspects of bike commuting in Ann Arbor, including the fact that we have a comprehensives non-motorized plan and are creating new bike lanes at a rapid pace.  The best thing about these new bike lanes is that they send a strong message that bikes belong in the road and create a safer environment for cyclists and motorists alike.
