Bike lanes restriped on several Ann Arbor streets
Local cyclists are reporting that several bike lanes in Ann Arbor have recently been restriped.
They include
- State Street
- Plymouth
- Liberty from Maple Rd to downtown

For those of you who don’t know, the Washtenaw Area Transportation Study (WATS) does most of the transportation planning for the county. They recently put together a Long Range Transportation Plan for 2030. This coincides nicely with Ann Arbor’s Transportation Plan Update.
In addition to creating the Long Range Plan, WATS now has its own blog. Here’s what you’ll find on the blog:

The wonderful Transit group Transit Riders United recently released a report titled “The Economic Case for Light Rail in Detroit”. I haven’t read it yet, but will defintely put in on my reading list.
Much of the report details other major metropolitan areas that have invested in public transit and seen big results. Why not Metro Detroit.
