Just got the following info from the City:

Beginning Thursday, April 16, 2009: construction on Huron Parkway-Nixon Road Improvement Project. Areas affected by construction are Nixon Road from Plymouth Road to Aurora, and Huron Parkway from Plymouth Road to just west of Nixon Road.

Sunday, May 3, 2009, 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. (Burns Park Run): Baldwin Avenue closed between Wells Street and Cambridge Road; Cambridge closed between Baldwin Avenue and Martin Place; Martin closed between Cambridge and Wells; Wells closed between Martin and Lincoln Avenue; Lincoln closed between Wells and Cambridge; Cambridge closed between Lincoln and South Forest Avenue; South Forest closed between Cambridge and Granger Avenue; Granger closed between South Forest and Baldwin; Baldwin closed between Granger and Brooklyn Avenue; Brooklyn closed between Baldwin and Lincoln; Lincoln closed between Brooklyn and Shadford Road; Shadford closed between Lincoln and Woodside Road; Woodside closed between Shadford and Scottwood Avenue; Scottwood closed between Woodside and Norway Road; Norway closed between Scottwood and Ferdon Road; Ferdon closed between Norway and Wells; Wells closed between Ferdon and Baldwin.

Friday, June 12, 2009, 3 to 11 p.m. (Mayor’s Green Fair): South Main Street closed between William and Huron streets; Liberty Street closed between South Ashley and South Fourth Avenue; Washington Street closed between South Ashley and South Fourth (except for traffic entering or exiting the Washington Street Parking Structure).

The Commuter Challenge is almost here (May 1!).  88 Organizations have signed up so far (you can sign, up too!).

Rode my bike to work on this very rainy day and downtown this afternoon for jury selection. Returned to work to get caught up on a few things after a week of vacation. Rain gear kept me dry and I got my exercise in for the day. Especially happy because I could wear my blue and green polka-dot rain boots! Also kept my 16-year-old daughter happy, because she had the car all day!
