Molly, some folks tried doing Twitter comments earlier, but if others want to try, it's worth a shot. And there are definitely people who have contacted the stores to get them to support keeping the stop at Arborland, and for the most part they are very supportive. For some reason, AmCap (the property owners) are just completely and totally unresponsive.

Have you considered a barrage of twitter comments, I read yesterday about someone who managed to get Southwest airlines to call her directly when they received thousands of twitter comments. Also are there campaigns to make Hillers, Borders, Michael's, DSW, etc. join the fight??

I just got wind of this change yesterday. Use Arborland all the time for shopping and for my commute to UMHS. I made a call to AmCap Connecticut and was told that my name and number will be given to "him". I had to press to find out who "him" is (being Mike and or J Kaiser).

I wished that I could have gotten word sooner so I could act on this.

This is a tragedy. A complete neglect of a business' civic responsibility. I'm really concerned about the impact that this will have on our community. During these economic challenges, businesses should be falling over themselves to support public transportation so citizens can afford their goods and services instead of paying for a parking pass or other vehicle costs.
