Monday November 17, 2008 TO thursday november 20, 2008

Location and Limits of Affected Area:

E. University Avenue from Willard St. to S. University

Description of Construction:

The O’Neal Construction Inc. will disassemble and remove from E. University Ave, the construction crane that was utilized during the Zaragon development project. This temporary road closure is necessary for the safety of the public.

Temporary Construction Traffic Control Plan:

At 7:00 a.m. Monday November 17, 2008 through Thursday November 20, 2008 the NB traffic on E. University Ave will be directed east on Willard St, north on Church St, and west on S. University. The E. University SB traffic will be directed south on Church St, and south on Tappan St. From Church St. the traffic will be directed southerly to Willard St, west on Willard St. back to E. University. From Tappan St. the traffic will be directed south to Hill St. then east on Hill Street back to E. University.

Pedestrian Traffic

Pedestrian traffic will be maintained throughout the project on the west side of E. University Street. Access to all businesses will be maintained at all times.

Location and Limits of Affected Area:

E.Washington Street, From Division St. to State St.

Description of Construction:

To dismantle and remove the tower crane from the construction site.

Temporary Construction Traffic Control Plan:

Eastbound through traffic will be routed north on Division St. to Huron Street, east on Huron St to State St., south on State St to E. Washington Street. Westbound through traffic will be maintained at all times.

The contractor will open the road to two way traffic at the end of each work day. The detour will then be reset each morning.

Pedestrian Traffic

Pedestrian traffic will be maintained throughout the project on the south side of E. Washington Street. Access to all businesses will be maintained at all times.

MILLER AVENUE / MAPLE ROAD INTERSECTION

November 5, 2008 to November 20, 2008

Location and Limits of Affected Area:

Miller Avenue / Maple Road Intersection

Description of Construction:

The Maple – Miller Transmission Water Main project includes the installation of a 24” water main, from the City of Ann Arbor Water Treatment to Dexter Avenue along Maple Road, Miller Avenue and Fulmer Road. This phase of the project connects the proposed water main in Miller Avenue to the proposed water main in Maple Road, the final street paving in the Miller – Maple intersection and the water main connection to the existing 16” water main in Maple Road.

Temporary Construction Traffic Control Plan:

The construction work area is located on the south – ease corner of the intersection of Miller Ave. and North Maple Rd. In order to allow for the construction activity in this area the traffic around the intersection of Miller Ave. and North Maple Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

During this construction the traffic may experience brief delays within the areas influenced by this work. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes. To maintain the safety of all, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones. We thank you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to utility system are completed. Refer to this map for further details.

Ann Street Becomes One Way in November 08

As part of the construction of the new Ann Arbor Municiple Center (the Courts/Police Building), Ann Street is going to become a one way street with angled parking with back-in spaces and a bike lane.

S. State Street, from Stimson St to Packard St.

Description of Construction:

The UM contractor for the Indoor Football Practice Facility will install a new storm sewer lead from the building to the existing sanitary sewer main on S. State St, and will restore the road pavement road after the completion of the underground utilities.

Temporary Construction Traffic Control Plan:

The local and southbound traffic will be maintained at all times. The through northbound traffic will be directed east on Stimson, north on S. Industrial, east on Stadium Blvd and north on Packard St and back to State Street.

Pedestrian Traffic

Pedestrian traffic will be maintained throughout the project on the East side of S.State Street. Access to all residences will be maintained at all times.

Description of Construction:

Installation of new storm sewer manhole and lead to 411 E. Washington and the road restoration in the work area

Temporary Construction Traffic Control Plan:

Eastbound through traffic will be routed north on Division St. to Huron Street, east on Huron St to State St., south on State St to E. Washington Street. Westbound through traffic will be routed south on State St. to E. Liberty St, west on E. Liberty St to Division St., and north on Division St to E. Washington.

E. Washington local traffic may enter E. Washington St. from its intersection at State St. up to a point near the construction area at 411 E. Washington St. To exit the site, the traffic must turnaround and return to the point of entry.

September 24, 2008 through September 25, 2008

Huron Parkway Bridge over the Huron River and Geddes Avenue between the Geddes/Fuller Road and Geddes Avenue Intersections

Description of Construction:

Grinding of concrete patches to provide a smooth riding surface

Temporary Construction Traffic Control Plan:

Beginning on September 24th and continuing through September 25th, we will be grinding some of the previously placed concrete patches in order to provide a smooth riding surface. This work is being done to comply with the project specifications.

We will be performing this work during non-peak hours (9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). We expect the work to take about one day to complete, but are planning for two days in case of inclement weather or other unexpected problems.

Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be maintained at all times during our work.

To maintain the safety of all, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through work zones. We thank you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to our road system are completed.
